Western State Colorado University seeks a Registrar.
Duties:Western State Colorado University seeks a Registrar. The Registrar serves as the chief student records officer for the University and reports to the Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs. The Registrar verifies and maintains the security and integrity of student records and provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of registration services including degree and diploma processing, transfer evaluations, course schedule creation, University catalog development, administration of Veteran's benefits, the institution's computerized student record and information systems (Banner, DegreeWorks, CourseLeaf), budget development and resource management, and administration of registration and academic policies and procedures. The Registrar also researches and executes process improvement, including expanding the use and functionality of existing or new technology. The Registrar supervises and provides leadership for registration services staff members.
Qualifications:A bachelor's degree is required, with master's degree preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn and utilize technology to deliver records and registration services, must have a record of successful leadership and possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills with exemplary customer service and attention to detail. The Registrar must be able to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with faculty and administrative leaders across campus. A minimum of three years of experience in registration services or five years of experience in a related field, with a successful track record of increasing responsibility is desired. Preferred is experience with Banner, catalog software such as CourseLeaf, and degree audit programs such as DegreeWorks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
