Western State Colorado University seeks a Registrar.
Duties:The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records and reports to the Associate Vice- President for Academic Affairs. The Registrar is also involved with all areas of student registration, transfer evaluations, course scheduling, University catalog development, administration of Veteran's benefits, the institution's computerized student record and information system, and the establishment and maintenance of processes for the administration of policies and procedures as they relate to registration and academic policies. The Registrar supervises and is responsible for the training of registration services staff members.
Qualifications:A bachelor's degree is required, with master's degree preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to utilize technology to deliver records and registration services, must have a proven record of successful supervisory experience, and possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with exemplary attention to detail. The Registrar must be able to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with a diverse group of faculty and administrative leaders across campus. A minimum of three years of experience in registration services or five years of experience in a related field, with a successful track record of increasing responsibility is required. Preferred is experience with Banner, catalog software such as CourseLeaf, and degree audit programs such as DegreeWorks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
