Western State Colorado University invites applicants for the full time position of Program Assistant, Extended Studies. This position reports to the Director of Extended Studies.
Duties:The Program Assistant provides registration and administrative support to the Office of Extended Studies. This is a full time office clerical job. This position maintains regular communication with internal and external stakeholders and provides strong customer service in person, over the phone and via email. Administrative duties include: student registration, student data collection and tracking, answering student and faculty inquiries, following and communicating academic policies, and arranging logistics.
Qualifications:A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in business, communication, or education is preferred. The successful candidate must be diligent, detail-oriented and have strong skills in customer service, communication, project management, and data collection and synthesis. Individual must also have the ability to be flexible, prioritize tasks and manage several tasks at once. Two years of office experience and excellent computing skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and online systems entry are required; experience in student services or higher education is preferred.
Additional Application Information:''Compensation: is at an hourly rate of $14.90 per hour. This is an FLSA non-exempt, non-classified position and eligible for overtime. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan, health, dental and life insurance and paid leave.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
